I'm Christiana Petschallies, a surface pattern designer and illustrator living in the North of Germany, having the Northern Sea on my left and the Baltic Sea on my right.
I create my patterns and illustrations in my little office in the middle of the green.
Creating collections is my way of turning feelings, experiences and atmospheres into art.
Every step of the creative process is made with passion: from choosing a topic, collecting information and the formation of new ideas, the perception and often times the creation of a whole new world brought to life on a piece of paper, simply started with a pencil and an eraser.
Choosing a color palette that should not only be adequate to the theme, but should also carry it and tell a story with vectorized motifs that not only looks good, but also inspires people.
It is a delight designing patterns and illustrations for fabric to create beautiful pieces with or for items that will make your home beautiful, joyful and come with a meaning.
